Cod Bay Fishery Harbour is the only natural harbour belongs to Ceylon Fishery Harbours Corporation. The harbour was originally constructed as a depp sea fishing harbour for trawlers operating in Pedro Bank and for Multi - day boats. Harbour was not used from 1990 to 1998.
Beneath located in Trincomalee in the Eastern Coast. The development of the harbour has been hampered by the adverse Security situation in the North and East of the Country with the casing of the situation. Since 2002, fishing restrictions are expected to be released with the subsequent improvement in the prospects of the harbour.
